New audio chat and screen sharing for better remote meetings
76% of decision-makers use video conferencing today, and it helps make 87% of remote users feel more connected to their team and business processes. But while video conferences can be collaborative, they are not always interactive, making it difficult to share notes and ideas.
Conceptboard already allows you to hold interactive video conferences. Now we’re introducing new screen sharing and audio conferencing to supercharge your online whiteboard collaboration sessions. It’s even easier to hold productive remote meetings right on top of your content.
Audio and video chat for remote meetings that work
Sometimes you want to be able to focus on the content on the board without the distraction of video. Whether you need to run through a board with a colleague or client, the new audio conferencing makes it easier to keep creative momentum going.
Hop on the board, click the new phone icon next to the active board users, and select “Audio chat”. You can toggle on/off the video chat and the new screen sharing as well.
Screen sharing and online whiteboards
Collaborating together on a board is great, but sometimes throwing in a quick screen sharing session can come in handy too–for example, when creatives want to show you a live preview in Photoshop or AutoCAD.
The newly updated Conceptboard conferencing solves this problem directly within a board, putting screen sharing right where your team is already collaborating.
Share your screen to show your desktop, applications, or whatever you need to share with your team, and then go back to the board and capture the conversation. It will help keep your team’s ideas organized and inspire new ideas, conversations, and meaningful collaboration.
Turning on screen sharing
To get started click the new phone icon next to the active users in the board and choose “Share screen.” Install the extension and then choose the window you want to share. You can see a walkthrough of these steps in the help article.
The new audio conferencing and screen sharing are done through our Tokbox WebRTC integration. The video/audio conferencing and screen sharing will work on the current versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer on desktop and Android tablets.
The screen sharing requires an extension/plugin to be installed the first time. For more help, please check out our help article.
The video/audio conferencing and screen sharing are available to all our Conceptboard users. Teams receive 10 hours of conferencing/screen-sharing per user/month, and hours in a Team are shared.
Administrator can see how many hours they’ve used in their Profile page. To learn more about how we count the hours, please see our help article.
