Halle (Saale), 3 August 2026 – Conceptboard Cloud Service GmbH, Germany’s leading provider of online whiteboards and sovereign visual collaboration solutions for the public sector, is expanding its executive management team with the appointment of Andreas Kleinknecht as Co-CEO, effective 1 August 2026.

For Helmut Schmitz, the appointment of Andreas Kleinkecht as Co-CEO is a logical next step towards advancing product innovation, customer proximity and sustainable growth with even greater focus. Together, they will be responsible for the company’s strategy and operational management.

By expanding its executive management team, Conceptboard is creating the conditions for scalable growth, even closer alignment with its customers’ requirements and the faster establishment of sovereign digital collaboration in the market. Helmut Schmitz will increase his focus on product innovation, M&A and the continued development of the platform. Andreas Kleinknecht will assume responsibility for go-to-market and work closely with Georges Welz in his existing role as CRO.

Andreas Kleinknecht brings more than 20 years of experience in driving digital transformation across the public sector. Until mid-2023, he served as Senior Director and member of the management team at Microsoft Germany, where he was responsible for the company’s business with public-sector clients, including the education and healthcare sectors. Prior to this, he was a member of the management team at Fujitsu with responsibility for the Public Sector division. Over the past three years, through his leadership role at Slalom Germany, Andreas Kleinknecht has expanded his experience beyond the public sector, built and developed organisational structures, and broadened his expertise in digital transformation beyond technology alone. With his many years of experience working with public institutions and his expertise in cloud technologies, he will make a significant contribution to Conceptboard’s strategic direction.

With its new leadership structure, Conceptboard is aligning two key success factors of the SaaS business even more closely: product strength and market access.
